Project Role
Design should be about human experiences and personal choices.
RE:ACT is an exhibition for the design company Zanotta, using the timeless ‘SACCO’ chair. And from its luxurious affordances, present spatial and interpersonal interactions in an innovative way. People in the exhibition are able to dis- cover how they engage and accommodate in a space by human experiences and the limitless- ness of personal choices. But are they aware that those choices influence the interpersonal connection and possibility of another’s choice?
This exhibition explores choice within social behavior by making the effects of our interaction patterns visible. Because the ‘SACCO’ is a beanbag chair, people can sit on them any way they like. Different sensors are implemented into the chairs and the combinations that are triggered will display and result in a different experience for yourself and other people in the exhibition room.
