Olympic Torch Relay

The Olympic Torch travelled across Canada during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. As the official Vancouver 2010 website tracked the torch relay nationally, HelloBC.com and its reporter Chris Wheeler reported and documented the Torch Relay around the British Columbia area.
The torch relay site – titled “Travel with the Olympic Flame Across British Columbia” featured day-by-day videos of field reporter Chris Wheeler as he travels across British Columbia alongside the flame witnessing the city crowd, torch holders, and celebrations until the Cauldron lighting at the Opening Ceremonies.
An embedded map provided Chris’ travel progress and video updates along the way starting from Victoria all the way to Vancouver. Other information on the site promoted Olympic activities and tourism experience around BC.
My role focused on visual design of the site, working with Vancouver 2010 Olympic graphic standards, HelloBC’s site theme, and creatively presenting the Olympic Torch journey around BC.
